◎简 介
哈里（丹尼·德维托 Danny DeVito 饰）和泽尼亚（雷亚·普尔曼 Rhea Perlman 饰）两夫妻，一个是商人，一个是赌棍，两人再也没有想到的是，他们爱情的结晶，小小的玛蒂尔达（玛拉·威尔逊 Mara Wilson 饰）竟然是个世间罕有的天才。应玛蒂尔达的要求，完全忽视她的教育的父母将她送进了康琴小学，一段新的旅程在玛蒂尔达面前就此展开。
身为康琴小学的校长，特拉齐布尔小姐（帕姆·费里斯 Pam Ferris 饰）喜欢听话而温顺的孩子，身为铅球高手，她解决问题的唯一方法就是武力。和暴力的特拉齐布尔小姐完全相反的是一年级老师汉尼小姐（艾伯丝·戴维兹 Embeth Davidtz 饰），她的温柔和耐心让玛蒂尔达如沐春风。聪明的玛蒂尔达发现汉尼小姐似乎有着一些无法结局但又说不出口的难处，她决定用自己的力量帮助汉尼小姐。
